In the selection of motorcycle helmets, the following points should be noted:
1. The inner side of the helmet must be equipped with an anti impact pad. The surface pad material that matches the head is thin mesh lining, which should have the function of absorbing sweat and oil from the head. In addition, the pad shall be provided with a ventilation slot with a depth of more than 10MM to allow air circulation in the helmet.
2. The jaw strap of motorcycle helmet shall be soft, and the buckle and other hard protrusions shall not exceed the external surface by 5mm.
3. Motorcycle helmets should be light and comfortable when worn, and the weight of the helmet should not exceed 2KG.
4. The helmet shall not be blocked or suffocated, and the vision shall be wide and clear without shielding. The visual angle shall not be less than 105 degrees when stationary.
5. The sound from all directions can be clearly heard and distinguished when wearing the helmet, and there should be no vibration and other noises during driving.
6. The helmet shall be equipped with good ventilation and heat preservation devices inside, and shall be dust-proof, insect proof and waterproof.
7. Helmets should have good reflectivity and thermal radiation resistance, and highlight obvious eye-catching colors.
8. The lens of helmet goggles is clear and colorless, and its toughness is not easy to break, so as to ensure that the driver's vision is not affected.
9. The helmet shall be made of glass fiber laminated structure.
In general, the first thing to consider when choosing a helmet is the burden on the neck when wearing the helmet, and feel its weight when the body maintains balance. The balance of the helmet is very important, because the closer the center of gravity of the helmet is to the center of gravity of the head, the less fatigue it is. Therefore, the important thing is not the weight of the helmet itself, but the balance performance of the helmet.
From the perspective of safety, when the helmet is strongly impacted, the soft foam spacer inside the helmet can prevent the impact from hurting the head. Some damaged helmets have three or four collision marks almost at the same place. With regard to the permeability of the helmet, the ventilation device is not installed near the opening of the protective sleeve of the helmet itself, but on the protective sleeve body, mainly to maximize the protective range of the helmet when hit.
Generally speaking, the suitability of helmet can be worn on any head type. However, attention should be paid to the permeability and size of the helmet. When riding with helmets, you should not feel that the helmets tighten your neck and wrap your head tightly, causing poor breathing. At the same time, the size of the helmet should try to choose the appropriate safety helmet that will not move and will not wear the protective sleeve at the bottom of the helmet too much when it is taken off and put on frequently.
